This week I started a new semester of college. I am very excited because I am attending a new campus. There are new buildings, teachers, and it’s even in a whole different city.
I really like my teachers. So far. Ha! There is going to be a lot more writing in each of my classes. I will have to write a research paper in two classes. With starting more professional classes, I will be exposed to what will be expected in my field I want to work in. Which by the way is Human Resources Management.
I have already found out from one of my teachers that I will need to get some experience before I will be even considered for a position in a company. My teacher that informed me of this is going to help me when it comes time for an internship. At the college he helps place students in internships to get them some experience so they are not thrown into looking for a job and not getting any results. AWESOME! This made me feel so good to know that he gave this information to help. Some teachers I have had already had did not care and just wanted you to do the work and move on from their class. I guess that is what the difference is between a business college and a community college. Don’t get me wrong, I had some wonderful teachers at my community college. However, there were a few that did not really invest time and care into their students.
I have to say the overall feeling I have had with getting all my stuff prepared and getting all the information I have needed has been a very smooth process. Everyone and I mean everyone, were wonderful. I just pray that this continues through the next couple of years during my Bachelors process. :)
